Day 1 - Trip to Munnar
When you arrive at Kochi airport/ railway station you will be received by our representative and we will proceed on a 4.5 hour drive to Munnar. Attractions in the drive include Spice Plantations, Valara waterfalls, Cheeyappara waterfalls, Karadippara view point, Attukkad water fall view etc.Once you reach Munnar, check in to the eco friendly Greenspaces Homestay. The luxurious greenspaces Homestead is situated amidst cardamom plantation, about 10 km away from Munnar Town. This cottage is constructed with eco friendly materials, without disturbing the natural terrain. The rooms are theme designed, earthy colored with well-crafted wooden floors and ceilings. Greenspaces Homestead has a full time caretaker who takes care of all basic requirements and prepares excellent homemade food with warm hospitality. Relax in the homestay amidst cardamom plantations for the rest of the day.
Day 2 - Munnar Sightseeing
After an authentic Kerala breakfast, spend the day in local sightseeing in Munnar. Munnar drives its name from the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. Mattupetty is a popular picnic spot where you can opt for activities like boating and horse riding. Indo Swiss Dairy Farm is a little ahead of Mattupetty lake is famous for around 100 varieties of cattle. Close by is the Echo Point, which offers you a panoramic view and the thrill of hearing your voice echo. Pothenmedu, Devikulam hill station, Chithirapuram, Nayamakad and Power House Waterfalls are other popular sightseeing spots. Overnight stay at the homestay.
Day 3 - Thekkady Homestay
Checkout from the homestay after a Kerala Breakfast and proceed to Thekkady. Checkinto Chrissies. Chrissie's is a small, friendly hotel set amidst gardens and natural teak forests in a quiet part of Thekkady.Run by Chrissie from England and Adel from Egypt the well-appointed rooms, pretty garden and the relaxing ambiance of the rooftop vegetarian restaurant provide the perfect, peaceful location at Chrissies from which to explore the Periyar Tiger Sanctuary and the beautiful surrounding countryside.
Day 4 - Stay in a Kumarakom homestay facing backwaters
Checkout from Thekkady and Proceed to Kumarakom to check into Coconut Creek home-stay which is an exotic haven of tranquility in a beautiful creek of Kumarakom Lake. Spread across 4 acres, the ambience here is typically Keralite and facilitated with every modern convenience. Coconut Creek is a Kerala heritage home more than 60 years old, located by the side of a canal, which leads to the Kumarakom Lake. The house set on four acres of lush evergreen was converted to a modern bed and breakfast homestay facility.Enjoy your homestay and relax in teh backwater facing heritage home.
Day 4 - Stay in Backwater Heritage Resort in Alleppey
Relish the tang of the countryside, try your hand at fishing in the lake / river, engage in farming activities: toddy tapping or aqua farming on the last day in Kondailip. Set off on a fishing trip with locals if desired, make an easy trek in to the countryside and village or just cruise along the backwaters on a country boat. Feel nature and taste the culinary delights that await you at Kondai Lip. Kondai lip is adorned with beautiful heritage wooden bunglows (re-built) of more than 200 year old are linked with all the modern amenities for the maximum comfort of the guest. Day 5 - Cochin Sightseeing & departure
Enjoy the morning at your leisure and checkout of the heritage homestay after breakfast. Explore Fort Kochi Places to visit in Kochi include Fort Cochin still keeping alive its ancient Jewish traditions, the Santa Cruz basilica, Mattancherry Palace, St: Francis Church and much more. The Jews Street and Chinese fishing nets are a must see. We also recommend visiting Kasi arts cafe and savoring the shakes available there. We will drop you back for the departure flight back home from Trivandrum/ Kochi for your trip back home, feeling contended about a wonderful honeymoon you spent at God's Own Country like so many of our guests.
