Day 1 - Arrival at Cochin

When you arrive at Kochi airport/ railway station you will be received by our representative and we will proceed on a 4.5 hour drive to Munnar. On the way we will visit the Elephant Training Centre in Kodanad and watch the elephants bathing. You can also take an Elephant Safari and play with Baby elephants while they are bathing. The other attractions on the drive include Spice Plantations, Valara waterfalls, Cheeyappara waterfalls, Karadippara view point, Attukkad water fall view etc.Once you reach Munnar, check in to the hotel. Relax in the hotel for the rest of the day and enjoy a campfire and cooking demostration in the evening. .

Day 2 - Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast, spend the day in local sightseeing in Munnar. Munnar drives its name from the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. Mattupetty is a popular picnic spot where you can opt for activities like boating and horse riding. Indo Swiss Dairy Farm is a little ahead of Mattupetty lake is famous for around 100 varieties of cattle. Close by is the Echo Point, which offers you a panoramic view and the thrill of hearing your voice echo. Pothenmedu, Devikulam hill station, Chithirapuram, Nayamakad and Power House Waterfalls are other popular sightseeing spots. Overnight stay at the resort after enjoying the campfire.

Day 3 - Trip to Kumarakom

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed for a drive down to Kumarakom (195 km/6 hrs). On arrival at Kumarakom checkin and relax at the resort. Spend evening relaxing near the beautiful Vembanadu Lake, and go for a complimentary the sunset cruise.

Day 4 - Kumarakom Sightseeing

After breakfast proceed to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary and enjoy the scenic surroundings.Enjoy the scenes in a Kerala country side -skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed down paddy fields, local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes and swaying coconut palms. All meals will be served on board. Overnight stay at houseboat. Return to the resort after sightseeinga and do a complimentary consulting with Ayurveda doctor. Spend evening relaxing near the beautiful Vembanadu Lake at the resort.

Day 5 - Alleppey(Houseboat)

After breakfast checkout from the hotel in Kumarakom we will proceed to Alleppey and check in to a premium houseboat. Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditional Kerala Houseboat after lunch. Sit back and relax while the boat cruises through the narrow serene backwater canals of Kumarakom and Alleppey. Overnight stay at houseboat.

Day 6 - Trip to Poovar

After breakfast checkout from the houseboat and proceed to Poovar. Poovar is an explorer's haven where an island of almost indescribable beauty awaits you.You will be taken to the "Island of Smiles" in a boat of the resort and an island away from the hustle and bustle of the city, hidden amidst swaying coconut palms, endless golden sands and lush flora. A lingering boat cruise along the palm-fringed shores of emerald green backwaters and you have arrived at the Poovar Island Resort, a place where nature is at its pristine best with swaying coconut palms, endless golden sands, the deep blue sea and breathtaking sunsets..

Day 7 - Poovar Sightseeing

After breakfast checkout from the hotel and proceed to Poovar and do sightseeing in the village which is embraced by a beautiful beach on one side and the backwaters on the other. During high tides, an estuary links it to the sea. It is very close to harbor of Vizhinjam and is a network of lagoons, lakes, canals, estuaries, deltas, interspersing forty-four rivers that join the Arabian Sea.Return to the resort in the evening and enjoy A- La- Carte Candle light dinner.

Day 8 - Departure

Enjoy the morning at your leisure and checkout of the hotel after breakfast. We will drop you back for the departure flight back home from Trivandrum/ Kochi for your trip back home, feeling contended about a wonderful honeymoon you spent at God's Own Country like so many of our guests.
