Day 1 - Arrival at Cochin and Trip to Munnar
When you arrive at Kochi airport/ railway station you will be received by our representative and we will proceed on a 4.5 hour drive to Munnar which is 140 kilometers away. On the way we will visit the Elephant Training Centre in Kodanad and watch the elephants bathing. You can also take an Elephant Safari and play with Baby elephants while they are bathing. The other attractions on the drive include Spice Plantations, Valara waterfalls, Cheeyappara waterfalls, Karadippara view point, Attukkad water fall view etc.Once you reach Munnar, check in to the hotel and go for a stroll in the Munnar town.
Day 2 - Sightseeing in Munnar
After breakfast, spend the day in local sightseeing in Munnar. Munnar derives its name from the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. Mattupetty is a popular picnic spot where you can opt for activities like boating and horse riding. Indo Swiss Dairy Farm is a little ahead of Mattupetty lake is famous for around 100 varieties of cattle. Close by is the Echo Point, which offers you a panoramic view and the thrill of hearing your voice echo. Pothenmedu, Devikulam hill station, Chithirapuram, Nayamakad and Power House Waterfalls are other popular sightseeing spots. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 - Trip to Thekkady
After breakfast, checkout from the hotel in Munnar and drive to Thekkady. Thekkady is well known for one of the world's most fascinating wild life reserves - Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady is spread across 777 sq km and is well known for its wild life and scenic beauty. In You can opt for a cruise on Lake Periyar. During the boat ride spot the wild life (elephants, Indian Gaur, Monkeys, Spotted deer, barking deer and birds of myriad varieties). Do fishing in a private lake, bamboo rafting and a trekking to the tallest statue in Kerala at Ramakkalmedu. Overnight stay at the resort.
Day 4 - Stay in Treehouse & Ayurvedic Massage
After breakfast, checkout from honeymoon cottage and proceed for your stay in Treehouse.People used to stay at such kind of houses whhile hunting to protect themselves form wild animals. Checkin to the treehouse and go for an ayurvedic massage to rejuvenate your body and mind. Enjoy and elephant ride and kathakali show in the evening. Overnight stay in the resort at Thekkady.
Day 5 - Alleppey Houseboat Cruise
After breakfast checkout from resort in Thekkady and proceed on a 4.5 hour drive to Alleppey and check in to the houseboat. Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditional Kerala Houseboat after lunch. While cruising in these floating luxury vessel , let your eyes enjoy the scenes in a Kerala country side - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed down paddy fields, local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes and swaying coconut palms. All meals will be served on board. Overnight stay at houseboat. Special Flower Arrangement and candle with cake for the for honeymoon couple in the houseboat.
Day 6 - Cochin Sightseeing, Shopping & Departure
Morning, after the breakfast checkout from the houseboat and proceed to cochin for sightseeing. Explore Fort Kochi Places to visit in Kochi include Fort Cochin still keeping alive its ancient Jewish traditions, the Santa Cruz basilica, Mattancherry Palace, St: Francis Church and much more. The Jews Street and Chinese fishing nets are a must see. We also recommend visiting Kasi arts cafe and savoring the shakes available there. We will pick you for your trip back home by afternoon, feeling contended about a wonderful honeymoon you spent at God's Own Country like so many of our guests till now.
