Day 1 (Taj Gateway) - Arrival at Cochin
Situated right at the center of Kochi city in Marine Drive, Taj Gateway hotel offers the perfect entry point to God's Own Country, Kerala, with magnificent views of the Kochi harbour and beautiful backwaters. Day 2 (Taj Garden Retreat ) - Trip to Kumarakom
Azure backwaters, swaying palms, and floating houseboats. These are a few of the things that inspired English Missionary Henry Baker, in the late 19th century, to acquire land on the banks of Vembanad Lake. Today, it is known as the Taj Garden Retreat, Kumarakom. Often referred to as the little jewel of Kumarakom, it still maintains the beauty of its rustic surroundings. The 123-year-old colonial bungalow houses newly built Luxury Villas, heritage rooms and charming cottages. At this idyllic retreat, guests can look forward to practicing the art of doing nothing or keeping themselves busy with a variety of experiences, from nature to adventure, from culture to cuisine, and from rejuvenation to religion.
Day 3 (Taj Gateway) - Trip to Varkala
This little beach town in the green-and-silver state of Kerala is a relatively recent tourist discovery, and makes a wonderful refuge for those looking to escape the everyday. Look forward to unspoiled beaches, pretty cliff faces, red rocks and palm trees. Varkala is also steeped in history, and is an important Hindu pilgrimage destination.Devoid of shops and restaurants the tranquil beach at Varkala is perfect for those looking for a little privacy. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 (Taj Gateway) - Trivandrum Sightseeing
After breakfast, check out from houseboat and proceed to Thiruvananthapuram.Trivandrum has a lot of tourist attractions that are worth visiting and the clean and serene environment will makethe whole experience a truly memorable one. The city of Trivandrum is different from other large Indian cities and is a welcome break from the bustling commercial city life. Places to see in Trivandrum include Kuthiramalika (Puthemalika) Palace Museum, Napier Museum, Thiruvananthapuram Observatory, Kanakakunnu Palace, Sri Ananthapadmanabhaswami temple etc.. Visit Padmanabhapuram Palace and Suchindram Temple on the way. Kanyakumari is famous for Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Mahatma Gandhi memorial and Thiruvalluvar Statue. Enjoy boat trips, beach and visit to the memorial. Return to the Taj Gateway hotel in Trivandrum for the overnight stay.
Day 5 - Departure
Enjoy the morning at your leisure and checkout of the hotel after breakfast. We will drop you back for the departure flight back home from Trivandrum/ Kochi for your trip back home, feeling contended about a wonderful honeymoon you spent at God's Own Country like so many of our guests.
